Flight Hand Cleaner was born from a need to bridge the gap between harsh detergents and gentle cosmetic creams. Mervyn and Beryl created a “three-in-one” formula that cleans, protects, and conditions.

Flight’s growth into a brand leader, used by millions worldwide, was fueled by relentless promotion and a commitment to quality. By the late 1980s, Flight had become a global brand, with six tons produced daily and interest from giants like Vicks and Colgate Palmolive. The Nilands celebrated their success with a 40-day world tour, a testament to their journey from a backyard to a multi-million rand enterprise.
